First international ‘Path of Love’ festival has announced call for entries to its photo competition section.
The submitted photos need to enjoy the theme of Arbaeen – marking 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hossein (AS) in Karbala – focusing on the Arbaeen march held annually toward Karbala, Iraq, where the Imam’s shrine is located.
The photo competition section of the festival will comprise the international and domestic sections, each coming in the two categories of ‘professional’ and ‘popular’.
All photos with subjects of the Arbaeen march, as well as of the rallies held to mark the martyrdom of Imam Reza (AS) will be accepted for the competition.
Among the themes welcome to the festival are ‘the Arbaeen march held by followers of other religions’, ‘the effect of the rally on the mental health of the global society’, ‘the effect of the walk on family atmosphere and children’, ‘the rally from a historical perspective’, ‘women and kids in the march’, and ‘depicting Lady Zeynab (SA) as a role model’.
The first ‘Path of Love’ international film and photo festival is slated to be held October 23-27, 2017 in the Iranian city of Mashad and the Iraqi city of Karbala, simultaneously.
The deadline for submission of works is September 6, 2017.
